<image:title>Yoga, Meditation & Breathwork - The meditation or breathwork practices I teach and recommend represent application of the latest research in neurology, somatics, and psychology, to the students emotional and spiritual needs. Meditation type and recommended frequency of practice is based on research that shows which practice will work best for the needs of that student to facilitate change, to create new neural pathways, to change habits of the mind into new ways of being. Yoga was originally always taught privately, one teacher directly to one student. If you are working with physical or emotional challenges, yoga can help. W hether going through a period of life transition, extreme stress, or wanting to change old ways of behaving, acting, or thinking, these practices can help, but are best taught individually.</image:title>

<image:title>Yoga, Meditation & Breathwork - I take a coaching format approach, number of sessions are based on needs and goals of students, always growing an aspect body, mind and spirit of the student. To use an old expression, I don’t give my students the fish, I teach them to fish. I address your needs by unifying a practice around it, always addressing physical, psychological and spiritual. After initial meeting, I create a treatment plan with developmental end objectives. Each sessions builds on the previous with self practice work between sessions.</image:title>

<image:title>About</image:title>
<image:caption>Born to two adventurer parents, I grew up sailing around the world on a proper sailing yacht. Starting our circumnavigation from Northern Europe, to the Caribbean, Central America, concluding with the Red Sea and Mediterranean, the majority of my childhood boat years were spent island hopping and living in the South Pacific; part of me still identifies as “an island kid” with wild hair that was never brushed and skin always covered in seawater salt. I was taught my first yoga poses at 9 years old by Australian and New Zealander yoga teachers who sailed with us.</image:caption>

<image:title>About - On return to land I lived and studied on the East Coast of the U.S., the UK and France. Following a life of travel, my career was in tourism, working as the presse attachée for the French Government Tourist Office, where my job was to know France inside and out, to share the riches of France’s history, heritage, nature and gastronomy with American media. However, after many years of non-stop travel and promotion, I was burned out, a job that had once been a calling and a passion, was no longer.</image:title>

<image:title>About</image:title>
<image:caption>I believe myself part of a wonderful current of seekers, called through physical illness, burn-out, anxiety or stress to the practice of yoga, who have found new life in the body, mind and spirit through their practice of yoga. I am grateful for all the wise teachers who guided me and trained me on this path.</image:caption>

<image:title>About</image:title>
<image:caption>While most of my life had been outer exploration of the globe (my return to yoga practice, health and training as a teacher) of my journey in life occurred through inner seeking. After two years of intense practice of yoga asana, osteopathic treatment, Ayurveda, radical diet and lifestyle change, I had lost over 30 pounds and was returned to health and strength in the body.</image:caption>

<image:title>What is a Hysterical Yogi? - In the works of Jungian analysts such as Dr Clarissa Pinkola Estes, Marion Woodman, Anne Baring, Laurie Layton Schapira and Sylvia Brinton Perera, the condition the ancient Greeks labeled hysteria (meaning wandering womb) is identified as “loss of soul” or “loss of instinct” in our current time, which occurs in males and females of all walks. I believe “hysteria” is valid in that it describes a sense of something lost, leaving the “hysterical” wandering and seeking, but it wasn’t a physical uterus! What is being sought, is the self. Loss of soul occurs when we are cut off from our true Self, when we are “split;” this split may have occurred through trauma, through messages from society, family, significant others, or friends. Most often the split off silent part speaks to us through the body, as it did with early “hysterics.”</image:title>
